Overall view of the noice pollution

The noise adaptation project is a planned requirement of the county road in Etziken. The noise emission levels in the buildings along Luzern-, Bolken- and Hueniken street are to be assessed.

Around 100 buildings were recorded locally. The relevant data for the noise-prognosis was subsequently inserted into a computational model, a software for noise emission prognosis’s. The software allows for a reliable and credible prognosis of noise emission, taking into account reflections and the consideration of obstructions, such as other buildings or walls. The location of the receiver points and allocation of the use of buildings and there sensitivity level can be verified with help of the colour coded 3-dimentional model. The calibration of the model takes place through emission measurements from selected recipients.

To receive an accurate picture of the noise pollution in the future, traffic figures from the regional transport model are extrapolated and integrated. Ultimately the information of interest is whether or not buildings experience an exceedance of the noise emission limits. This information is documented in separate plans.

Study on measures

Restructuring measures such as speed limits, substitution of current road surfaces, clangour barriers and planning measurements will be looked into for the purpose of the subsequent measurement investigation.
